About

I was born in Montreal, Quebec, a city shaped by performance, discipline, and artistic ambition. Growing up, I was influenced by the world of opera, the theatrical precision of Le Cirque Du Soleil, and the global presence of artists like Céline Dion. That environment quietly formed my understanding of scale, structure, and creative rigor long before I formally studied design.

I later earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. My early focus was rooted in costumes and narrative-driven garments, work that emphasized concept, detail, and technical discipline.

Over time, my path expanded beyond design alone. Years spent working with fashion retail environments sharpened my understanding of brand identity, customer psychology, visual structure, and the realities of creative industries. I learned not only how to construct garments, but how systems function, how aesthetics, expectations, and performance intersect.

HMLstudio began as a portfolio space. Today, it is something different.

It has become a working archive, a documented evolution of creative rebuilding. After experiencing creative burnout and stepping away from outcome-driven production, I began questioning what creativity meant without performance attached to it.

This platform reflects that shift.

Here, I explore creativity in its simplest form: color, reflection, observation, and disciplined experimentation. Some entries focus on process. Others examine culture, identity, and personal growth. What remains constant is intention.

I am not interested in creating a spectacle. My focus is on building steadily, thoughtfully, and with long-term intention.

HMLstudio is not a showcase.
It is a return.

A return to wonder
A return to process
A return to creative instincts, rebuilt slowly and honestly.

About Me
Hi friend!

I’m Heïdi,

I believe in slow mornings, thoughtful work, creative independence, and choosing your life on purpose.

After years in high-energy environments, I’m stepping into something quieter, not smaller, but more deliberate. Here, I write about growth, healing, ambition, love, work, faith, and the subtle shifts that change everything.

This isn’t a highlight reel.

It’s a record of becoming.
